Yota not switching to Sailfish OS for future devices after all [Updated]

Update: Sorry folks, we’ve been told that this is, in fact, incorrect.

Original story: Russian smartphone maker Yota reportedly plans to move away from Android in its future devices. The maker of the YotaPhone will apparently instead be using Jolla’s Sailfish OS. The Finland-based Jolla announced an updated version of Sailfish earlier this year with better compatibility with Android apps. Yota did not give a reason for the switch.
