Warner Bros. suspends PC sales of Batman: Arkham Knight

Rocksteady’s highly-anticipated PC port of Batman: Arkham Knight didn’t go the way the developer intended, with the game littered with launch-day bugs and a framerate lock of 30fps, leaving many gamers with high-end video cards with a sub-par experience.

The developer’s response for limiting the game to 30fps was to “deliver an experience on par with the current generation of gaming platforms,” a statement that did not resonate with gamers. The title recevied overwhelmingly negative reviews on Steam, with 67 percent of the 8,500 reviews citing performance issues. Features that were available on the PlayStation 4, such as rain shaders and Ambient Occlusion, were found to be missing from the PC port, which incensed gamers even further.
