In light of the recent Google Maps shenanigans, Google has decided to temporarily suspend the Map Maker service as they search for a better solution.
At the end of April the Android mascot was caught urinating on an Apple logo, and this incident has forced Google to take another look at their Map Maker process. Up until this point, users could make and submit edits on Google Maps, which made keeping up with local roads much easier for the Google team.
